In October 2023, the AIR Equity Initiative convened its inaugural Working at the Intersections public symposium, titled Pathways to Peace: Reimagining the Future of Public Safety for Youth and Communities. This groundbreaking event brought together a diverse coalition of community leaders, policymakers, researchers, and advocates in Nashville and beyond. Moderated by Aloe Blacc, the symposium facilitated cross-sector dialogue, emphasizing evidence-informed strategies to address youth justice and public safety challenges. Held at Meharry Medical College, this symposium marked a pivotal moment in fostering collaborative approaches for safer and more just communities.
