Jordan Brown Graduates from Morgan State University
Jordan Brown is a high-achieving individual who recently graduated from Morgan State University with a bachelor of science degree in multimedia journalism. She graduated as co-valedictorian with summa cum laude honors, with an impressive 4.0 cumulative GPA and making the Dean’s List eight times. During her time at Morgan State, Jordan held several notable positions, including serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the MSU Spokesman, the university’s student-run news publication, from 2021 to 2023. She also held the role of Vice President in the Morgan State Association of Black Journalists during the same period.
In terms of internships, Jordan had valuable experiences working as a Breaking News Intern at USA Today, a Dow Jones News Fund Digital Media Intern at Patch and soon to be a Reporting Intern at the Baltimore Sun. She was recognized as an NABJ-HBCU Scholar and also had the opportunity to be a Morgan State University School of Global Journalism and Communication x Wall Street Journal Fellow from 2020 to 2021.
Looking ahead, Jordan will be attending New York University for a master’s degree in journalism, thanks to a full tuition scholarship from the NABJ. Her academic achievements, leadership roles, internships, and scholarships highlight their dedication and success in the field of journalism.
